A word from the chair

This year will see some exciting events coming your way, full of fun, dancing and no doubt lots of new friends. One of our main aims is for everyone to have fun learning to dance. For those of you new to the society, socials are one of our strengths. Twice a month we get together to enjoy some good music, fun people and most of all social dancing. It is a fantastic time to play around with new steps and get to know the people who are not in your class. All of this culminates in our annual end-of-year formal dance, which is one of the years most anticipated events. So brace yourselves for an unforgettable formal to end off an unforgettable year of dancing.

Besides socials there are lots of other events which you can look forward to. The Medal Test is designed for you to get outside feedback on how your dancing skills are improving, but most importantly it is a great chance to have lots of fun. Intervarsity this year will be held in PE. It is an amazing opportunity to challenge yourself as well as other universities across South Africa.

So as you can see there is a lot for you to look forward to this year! So without further ado, I wish you all a very happy year and the most fantastic time with all of us at dancing. After all there is no better way to live life than to be surrounded by dance! All the best and see you on the dance floor
