Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

These are the answers to the questions we most frequently get asked.

What times are the classes?
Classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5PM. See the class timetable.

Where are the classes?
At the beginning of the year we often dance in Jammie Hall but for most of the year you'll find us next door in Molly Blackburn (see the map on this page).

How much does it all cost?
Your fees cover you for the whole year. For UCT Students it's R360. Non-UCT Students pay R560 and non-students pay R800. See the society fees for 2012.

Why should I join?
For a million reasons! (these are just a couple of them)

It's cheap (you can pay over R200 an hour at a studio!)
You learn a very useful life skill that you can use forever
You meet new people and make lasting friendships
and... it's incredible amounts of fun!

What do I need?
Well these are some of the things that you do NOT need:

You don't need a partner
You don't need shoes
You don't need any rhythm or moves

Essentially you need absolutely nothing. No one has a clue what's going on in the beginning, just arrive and we'll sort everything else out.
